Daily Flag 4 on Thursday, December 4 at 14 Leuty by Shraddha, Lincoln, Gayatri & Ira. 36”x48” Felt appliqué on a canvas backdrop. This flag commemorates the real party animals in the Beaches: the raccoons! While nothing appears to be stirring in the night – well, mostly anyway – there are tell-tale signs of these masked visitors in the neighbourhood. They are scaling our roofs, rummaging through organic bins, and devouring vegetable patches. They even pay drop-in visits through open skylights! Raccoons are a part of Toronto life and Beachers are well-versed in tactics to protect yard, bin and garden. In this flag, we catch four raccoons making merry atop the iconic Leuty Lifeguard Station in the dead of night. It seems that some neighbour put out leftovers from the Christmas party a bit too soon before the morning pick-up. Happy holidays! SOLD $350
